after 4 hours of browsing through this forum and the rest of the internet I have finally decided to write a thread by myself.
This is not my first android device, but the first one I have problems with so far.
My Kindle Fire HDX 7" with TWRP v2.7.1.0 and CM11 worked like half a year or so without any problems.
Yesterday I browsed through the XDA-forum and found a ROM with android 5.1 for my device.
Downloaded, flashed, didn’t work, made a full factory wipe (yes, I know that was stupid) and here I am.
Stuck in TWRP.
Some facts:
– no backup
– two options: TWRP (recovery) OR try to boot system -> error
– since I have erased everything on the phone -> no flashable rom or anything else
– working terminal (at least lol)
– working file manager (but still nothing on the tablet)
– adb not working (explained below)
– rebooting into download-mode keeps restarting the tablet
– "Reset to Factory Defaults" doesn’t work, it simply restarts after a few seconds and that’s it.
Well, so far, so bad.
My PC doesn’t recognize the tablet. I’ve tried like every driver on the internet.
It neither pops up in the device manager, nor in USBDeview, (really NO action happens).
Not in mounted mode, not in ADB-sideload mode.
I tried to use different usb ports, different cables and even different computers (2 on WIN10, 1 on WIN7).
BUT it charges via USB. At least the port doesn’t seem to be broken.
I’ve tried an OTG cable together with a storage device, but I am not sure if that ever worked, since I never used it.
My last hope is another OTG-cable. Or some kind of terminal command which fixes the USB.
Would appreciate any helpful ideas or commands
