Bootloop after unlocking bootloader and flashing TWRP 3

$

My N5X has been stuck in the boot loop animation for the last 30 minutes or so after unlocking the bootloader and flashing TWRP 3.0.0. I followed the manual method guide for rooting/unlocking and was trying to make a nandroid backup, but was given a system error instead (forgot the message). I rebooted instead and have been stuck in the boot loop animation since.

When I restart the phone by holding down the power button, the bootloader still showed up as unlocked and a message popped up saying "Your device is corrupt. It’s can’t be trusted and may not work properly" with a red exclamation point.

Unfortunately, my computer can’t detect my phone anymore through USB even after reinstalling the drivers so I can’t reflash. Any thoughts?

Are there any stock/clean Marshmallow ‘custom’ ROMs than I can flash on TWRP ?

My HTC One M8 has unlocked bootloader but is on ‘stock’ Android 5.0.1. I would like to upgrade to Marshmallow and I think that flashing a custom ROM that is as clean as possible would be easier than re locking my bootloader, flashing stock recovery etc.

Can someone please link me to said ROM if it does exist ? (Android Revolution is Android 6.0 based but it is tweaked a lot)

Thanks

[TWRP] – Restored system doesn’t boot without permissive SELinux

I’m experiencing a strange issue…

Moto G XT1541 reteu 2GB

Originally with Lollipop LPI23.72-47 . I had installed SuperSU and Xposed. Backup with a simple tar.gz archive.
I’ve updated to Marshmallow, through regular OTA, but update fails (stuck on boot logo).
I’ve backupped system partition (with TWRP 3) and restored old LPI23.72-47 with TWRP (renaming my tar.gz to ext4.mmc)
With full SELinux, I’m unable to boot restored system: using liveboot as debug aid, I see a lot of
cannot execve(‘/system/bin/logd’) permission denied
After logo animation, I see a blank screen and If i press hardware buttons, Moto G vibrates. Stuck.
If I create a shell script in /system/su.d/ with setenforce 0 , strangely system boots.

Before that, I’ve had installed system from factory image XT1541_OSPREY_RETEU_2GB_5.1.1_LPI23.72-33_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip, backupped and restored with TWRP.
If I restore LPI23.72-33 I don’t need any setenforce 0 script, even If system previously had LPI23.72-47 and/or MM.

Suggestions?

Stuck on TWRP recovery after OTA update

Hi,

My (well, not mine, my sister’s) Honor 7 is stuck on the TWRP recovery since I downloaded the OTA update (not sure which one) (yup, I know, bad idea).
It seems that the bootloader is not accessible. The TWRP is in chinese, and it doesn’t show any "bootloader" option, only a "download" one. I have to swipe to activate it.

So, for the moment, I have performed a full wipe (except for data and microsd), but the phone doesn’t boot better. Only got access to the TWRP recovery. And not sure how I can fix this…

Could you please give me some help ?
Thanks a lot.

On the road, upgraded firmware but phone won’t boot, TWRP gone, HELP!

$

Hi guys,

I REALLY need some help on this one…! I majorly messed up.. I’m on the road at the moment, which makes this even more difficult.

So I was running CandyRom on the old L firmware. I was getting ready to upgrade to another M Rom (Skydragon).

So I read that, of course, I need to upgrade the firmware. So I stuck 6.12 (6.012? Whatever latest one is) official firmware.zip on the SD, changed its name to Oxxxxx.zip (I can’t remember the exact name) and booted into bootloader to install.

Now my problem is that this has (seemingly) wiped TWRP from my phone.

So here are my tools:

Windows laptop.
USB Cable.
(Very slow) internet.

How do I get from my phone being stuck in this state, to installing TWRP again, and being able to flash a rom? I can’t directly access the SD card, and I’m not even sure I can ADB into the phone from its current state…

Also, my bootloader says that my phone is ‘relocked’ if that makes any difference.

Been a while since I’ve tinkered with all of this… please be gentle. Would really appreciate any help!

Flashing TWRP through fastboot on a bootloader locked phone.

I know this might have been asked so many times but my question is slightly different.

I am using a Moto X xt1060 with read only root and a locked bootloader (Build details are in the screenshot). Since my root access is write-protected, I am unable to install any recovery or to do any other changes to the system when booted in ROM.

I wanted to flash a twrp rom in fastboot mode but I am constantly getting a "variable not supported" max download size of 85097897bytes error cannot load twrp.img.

While researching for this on internet I found this reply on many threads including some thread here too (Unfortunately I couldn’t remember which thread it was!) The solution proposed was :

"You should be able to catch the phone during its initial reboot process and get it into recovery before the main OS launches. Then you should be able to flash super user while there. "

My question is how can I so quickly bypass main OS bootup right after flashing the recovery when I don’t even know if it was flashed properly?

Shield Tablet K1 – twrp – SD

Hello,

I’m having a headache with my tablet. I have rooted the tablet but kept the stock rom. Root does work. But apps still can’t write on external sd unless they implemented the new way to request access. What I don’t understand is that I don’t have this problem on my htc one m9 rooted. For exemple, VLC player. On my M9, I can delete file on my sd from the app, but not on my tablet.

The other problem is with twrp. I try to make a backup to my external sd and it says external_sd is read only.

Is there a way to fix these?

thank you

Hi!

I’m trying to install TWRP ("openrecovery-twrp-2.8.1.1-trltetmo.img.tar") on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F with Android 5.1.1 . I tried to do it with Odin versions v3.09 and v3.10.7 using different USB cables and ports. The process always seems correct: it shows ‘ID:COM and finishes without errors, showing green and ends up resetting the device, but after that I try to boot into ‘Download mode" and after pressing "volume down" + Home + Power it keeps showing the default recovery, it doesn’t boot on TWRP.

I still can’t post links, try to recompose it removing blank spaces and you’ll find some screenshots showing what’s happening: ht tps : / /w ww. drop box.com/sh/j5z1iq owo46 xwlf/AAAk j-L-243FcKD0krM qsnIWa?dl=0

PC configuration:

  • Windows 7
  • Already installed Drivers "SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.zip" from ht tp ://de vel oper.sa msun g . com /tech nical-doc/vie w.do?v=T000 000 117

Device configuration:

  • USB debugging‘ is enabled
  • Security => ‘Reactivation lock‘ is disabled.

How can I install and boot correctly TWRP?
Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance :good:
