There’s an update for the great Materialized TWRP theme for 3.x. Unfortunately, the theme is only intended for devices with recoveries in portrait. Could someone work with the theme to make it work for recoveries in landscape? Thank you.

HELP: I accidentally wiped OS off my phone in TWRP

I’m a newbie with this.. I got my Nexus 5x a few weeks ago. With the instruction of someone else i unlocked the boot loader and rooted my phone. then i had an issue with boot looping after some customization on my phone. so i attempted to wipe all that stuff off my phone is TWRP and i accidentally checked system. Now what do i do? Now i don’t really know what a rom is or adb side loader or something like that.. i need some simple and clear instructions to get my phone working again. preferably without having to root all over again (that was exhausting and quite difficult, lots of trial and error).. but if it won’t be rooted anymore, it’s better than nothing. Please help!!

TWRP is in Chinese

I have encountered a tricky issue. My TWRP is in chinese.
If i click the menu button after loading TWRP it reports that it could not find ‘en.xml’ in zip.

I have tried flashing different versions / using update scripts etc. All flashing is OK. I am currently on the latest version.

Does anyone have an idea about how to fix this?

Decryption problem on TWRP

Hi

I have Mm 6.01 installed via adb sideloading from lollipop without any wipe. Somehow it worked.

The reason I had to do it that way is that phone is encrypted but when I boot to TWRP it does not recognise my decryption Pin so I couldn’t flash from recovery.

I was using the seraja recovery.

Anyone got access to the encrypted partitions through TWRP? I don’t know how to install TWRP 3.0.2 which might have a fix for the pin problem. Each way I try doesn’t work. Any ideas?

Wiped sdcard in Twrp!

Hi I recently wiped my phone storage and accidentally took my entire internal sdcard along with it. Now when I go to the internal_sd folder in twrp, all I have is a TWRP folder. Luckily my phone, Oppo Find 7, supports external sdcards and I am able to flash a Rom from it. But now I’m very stressed as my internal sdcard is gone and when I go to the storage section in my settings I’m only using my external sdcard. I can’t do things like downloading whatsapp media. So, now I’m looking for a solution from you experts to restore my internal sdcard back. It doesn’t need to restore my old folders, I just want my internal sdcard to be recognised and work again. Thank you.

P.S.: this is my first post, so sorry for anything I did wrongly.

TWRP recovery for Lenovo A6000

I want to flash cyanogenmod on my A6000, kindly provided by ED300 in http://forum.xda-developers.com/leno…withe-t3288805

I cannot download the TWRP recovery though, as the userscloud.com domain seems to be spam/fake only. It just redirects me to silly ads, and does not let me download at all. Maybe this domain was taken over by some unscrupulous person. Does anyone have the TWRP for lollipop hosted somewhere better? All the other files are also available on mega.nz, which works fine.

I cannot post in the topic directly because I am new.

[WIP] TWRP support

Hi all!

I am looking at getting official TWRP support for the P9 (as I have for the Honor 7). I have a working build – tree is here – https://bitbucket.org/paulobrien/and…ice_huawei_eva – with the exception of crypto.

Unfortunately the P9 encrypts /data by default which is a real PITA.

Working on it, but it’s going to be a real pain. :(

Original Shield Tablet Issues: ADB, Boot.img, and TWRP Recovery (for MM 6.0)

Ring. Towel: I give up!

Can’t figure this out. I want to throw a new ROM onto my Original Nvidia Shield Tablet, RoW LTE. It’s currently on Stock MM 6.0 unrooted. The bootloader is unlocked. I have at least three problems with this project:

  • ADB doesn’t seem to work.

Can’t connect at all using ADB. You’ll say I need to update the USB drivers, but how come Fastboot works and ADB does not?

  • The boot.img doesn’t seem to work.

Every time I flash an alternative bootloader using fastboot, Wifi disappears after the flash. The only solution seems to be to flash the stock boot. Should I be using a different image or can I get root on the stock boot image? What works for you?

  • Booting to TWRP recovery doesn’t seem to work.

With fastboot I can flash both boot and recovery. However, booting to recovery remains impossible. The tablet will try, but give up, restart via the Nvidia logo and then boot to system. Should I be using a specific TWRP for the Nvidia Shield on MM – and does it matter which boot.img I use?

Any help is very welcome!!

Wipe from TWRP + Kernal install?

Sorry if this has been asked (did a couple searches didn’t see a thread matching) but I already have my bootloader unlocked (from flashing a factory image) but I’m wondering if I choose to install TWRP and then flash a custom kernal would either of those actions require a full wipe (as in losing all data) of my 6P?

Thank you!

Resize system partition in TWRP?

$

Couple of quick questions. I’m wondering whether for a custom CM13 ROM I could resize the system partition since there’s a ridiculous amount of free space to play with on this thing and I’d love to see a standard gapps package installable. But:

Will it boot, will it figure out the system partition regardless of the changed blocks?
And will it be possible to ever resize back and go back to stock without the very finicky Kindle firmware griping?

Wondering if anybody knows the answer to either of those. Or both. Thanks!
